PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

As both a student and a teacher of second language acquisition, my passion for the subject has been ongoing for many years. In my tenure, I have come to realize how vital a role methodology plays in how our students learn. As a result of applying research-based methodologies and developing curriculum that both satisfies and exceeds standards while engaging students, I have developed a great enthusiasm for teaching methodologies, curriculum development, training teachers in those methodologies, and providing professional development for teachers. I have an interest in serving as a liaison between a higher learning institution and local school systems to refine the craft of teaching after graduation. I feel strongly that through investment in teachers, we can greatly improve the quality of our local public education through the proper induction of new teachers and through continued coaching with experience teachers. I have developed a great interest in organizational theory and the ability to create an environment that is truly focused on learning.
